In the last couple of days, several media outlets both in Albania and abroad, have been reporting that the singer Ana Kodra, has been selected to represent Albania in the forthcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017, after her victory in the Albanian contest "Festivali Mbarëkombëtar për Fëmijët në Shkodër".
After contacting the Albanian National Broadcaster (RTSH) for confirmation, we can inform you that this information is incorrect. Albania is yet to officially confirm its participation. Official news is expected later this month, but it is looking likely that the Albanian flag will be flown in Tbilisi with the song and participant, being selected in September.
